LiveCommentary is a live sports commentary widget that delivers automated game coverage for digital sports platforms. It transforms event data into engaging updates covering all key match events. For example, in football commentary, these include goals, shots, fouls, cards, substitutions, and more.
The widget supports customizable formal and informal tones and is available in more than 40 global languages, allowing it to adapt to any audience or brand identity. Designed for sports media, apps, and digital platforms, LiveCommentary integrates seamlessly while boosting engagement and retention.

Can I customize the commentary to match my brand's tone or favor a specific team?
Yes, the system offers dual tone options (formal and casual) by default.
Moreover, you can create your own custom translations and messages globally, for specific competitions, or even for individual matches and teams (for example, to favor a specific team during a game).
How is the service integrated technically?
The integration is handled via Webhooks. As a client, you need to provide a Webhook URL in your General Settings, which works as a sequential queue – meaning the system will not send newer comments until the previous ones succeed. To ensure security, you will be provided with a Webhook HMAC Secret key to verify the signatures of the incoming messages.
How does the system generate text comments?
LiveCommentary relies on a system of static templates, known as rulesets, which are triggered by match incidents.
When a specific incident occurs on the field (such as a blocked shot or a yellow card), the system looks up the predefined ruleset for that event. If multiple comment variants have been added for that incident, the system will randomly select one of those variants to publish, ensuring some variety in the text.
How does the customization work?
Clients can highly customize the commentary using the Rulesets Panel in the Backoffice, which allows for customization on three different levels. You can set rules Globally (applying to all matches in a sport), for specific Competitions (e.g., customizing comments only for FC Barcelona within La Liga), or for individual Events (a single specific match). Currently, you can create up to 5 custom comment variants for each ruleset.
Which sports does LiveCommentary cover?
Currently, the product supports 10 sports, including football/soccer, American football, basketball, and ice hockey for competitions covered on ELITE and LEGEND levels.
Depending on the sport, the service covers a wide range of incidents, including goals, cards, substitutions, and VAR reviews.
How much does LiveCommentary cost?
